The one-page document that gets the meeting.
The investment teaser is the single most important document in early-stage fundraising — and the one most founders get wrong. It’s the document that determines whether an investor opens your follow-up email, takes your call, or politely passes without ever reading your business plan.
A great teaser does three things in one page: it gets investor attention, communicates the opportunity clearly, and triggers a specific action (usually a meeting request or a request for more materials). A bad teaser sells too hard, hides the numbers, or buries the ask in jargon and goes straight to the bin.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a teaser that’s structurally sound, factually defensible, and visually professional. You’ll know what to include, what to leave out, and how to layout the page so an investor can scan it in 30 seconds and decide whether to keep reading.
